After lunch at one of the many picnic tables, we spent the afternoon at the beach. With crystal clear water and white sand, the beach was idyllic. In the ocean, we watched small trumpetfish and little yellow snappers swimming around us (fish identification suspect). This was definitely my daughter's favorite part of the day. Sometimes she likes hiking for hiking. And sometimes she's just in it for a romp in the water afterward. This was definitely the latter kind of day.

The reward

My favorite part of the afternoon was exploring the pond next to the beach. There were egrets and other birds hanging out in the mangroves all around the edge.
